Our take
Most commerce conferences are built around the vendors in the expo hall. This one is built around practitioners: nearly every keynote slot goes to someone who runs a B2B digital business (3M, Boston Scientific, Emerson, Toyota Material Handling, Zoro, ARG Industrial), and the organizer bills it as "no-pitch, content-first." That makes it unusually good for one thing: hearing what actually happened when a manufacturer or distributor put AI, search or a new site into production, including what didn't work.
The 2026 program says three things about where B2B commerce is right now. Agentic AI has moved from keynote theme to production story. At least six sessions are about AI that's already running, not AI that's coming. Adoption is the hard part, not the platform. Braskem, Kimball Midwest, Airgas and the sales-team panel all deal with getting customers and reps to use what's been built. Product data is finally on the main stage. TricorBraun on data beyond PIM, Wastequip and Apple on getting content funded, ULE Group on running AI against 60,000 SKUs, plus a new awards category for Best Product Content Experience.
Disclosure: Anglera is a sponsor and runs the Distributors Lunch & Learn on Day 1. We've marked our own session clearly and left it out of the picks below.

Distributors Lunch & Learn: Product Data You Can Trust, at Scale
Monday, November 2, 1:00–2:00 PM, Breakout Stage (Ballroom 7). A working lunch for distributors on getting supplier data into a state your site search, your reps and AI assistants can rely on: reading the PDFs and spreadsheets suppliers actually send, filling attributes with a source behind every value, and running it as a weekly practice instead of a one-off cleanup. Bring a category you've given up on. If you want us to look at it before the show, book a slot below.
The themes this year
Agentic AI, in production
Nick Pericle (Tenexity) on moving agents from single tasks to long-running work; 3M on Ask3M; Deloitte Digital with Emerson and Toyota on agentic commerce; ULE Group on a year of AI against a 60,000-SKU catalog; Justin King's Day 2 keynote; and Zoro's CTO on going from experiment to production. The common thread is that these are reports from teams that shipped.
Adoption and change management
Braskem reached roughly 50% eCommerce adoption inside a traditional sales culture. Kimball Midwest and Airgas talk about the internal beliefs that slowed them down, like "the website competes with sales commissions." A distributor panel asks what makes a site the sales team can't work without. If your platform is live but usage is flat, Day 1 afternoon is for you.
Product data and content
TricorBraun argues that a PIM strategy isn't a data strategy without customer, application and usage data. Wastequip and Apple cover how to get content work funded. The awards add Best Product Content Experience. For a primer on what complete B2B product data looks like, see our attribute schema library.
Search and discovery maturity
B2BEA's Richard Isaac presents a search maturity framework for manufacturers and distributors, then a panel with Direct Supply and Coveo on what comes after the baseline. Search quality is mostly an attribute problem, which is why zero-result queries are a good place to start: we've written about it in site search is only as good as your attributes.
Manufacturers and distributors, separately
New this year, Day 1 afternoon splits into a Manufacturer Track and a Distributor Track that run at the same time (2:00–3:30 PM). Plan who goes where before you arrive.
Sessions worth your seat
Our picks, annotated. Opinions are ours, not the organizer’s.
The B2B Pulse: What the Community Is Telling Us
Jason Hein & Justin King (B2BEA)
The association's own survey of its members. It's the fastest way to calibrate your roadmap against peers before the case studies start, and it sets up language you'll hear all week.
B2B AI in Practice: From Market Signals to the Ask3M Story
Phane Mane (Boston Scientific); Matthew Jungbauer (Global Director, Ecommerce, 3M)
Two large manufacturers on what an AI product assistant needs to work. Listen for what 3M had to fix in its product data before Ask3M could answer reliably.
You Are Not Too Late
Larissa Salerno (Product Strategy Manager, Braskem)
About 50% eCommerce adoption in a traditional sales culture. The right session for anyone whose site is live but whose customers still email orders.
B2B Commerce Transformations and Agentic AI: Views from the Research and the Executives
Paul do Forno (Deloitte Digital); Sai Selvarengaraju (Emerson); Samantha Wells (Toyota Material Handling NA)
Deloitte's research puts a 110% growth gap between high- and low-maturity suppliers, and a 25-point gap between what suppliers think they've automated and what buyers experience. Bring that second number back to your exec team.
Manufacturer Track: Beyond "Data Driven": Connecting Data to Pull Ahead of the Pack
Chantal Schweizer (Sr Director of Enterprise Data, TricorBraun)
The sharpest data talk on the agenda: plenty of manufacturers have a PIM strategy and no strategy for customer, application or usage data. If you own product data at a manufacturer, this is your session.
Manufacturer Track: Getting Content Funded: Wastequip and Apple
Kevin Creese (Wastequip); Nitin Patki (Apple)
Content projects die in budget meetings. Come for the business case they used, not the content itself.
Distributor Track: Beyond Minimum Viable E-commerce: What Digital Differentiation Actually Looks Like
Sean Meckley (VP Product Management, QXO)
QXO is building a distributor with digital as the starting point, not a retrofit. Useful if your board keeps asking for "Amazon-like" and you need a better answer.
Distributor Track: The Website Your Sales Team Can't Work Without
Caroline Ernst (Affiliated Distributors); Stephan Fulop (IDEA); Cecilia Madden (McNaughton-McKay); Kyle Hilbrenner (GME Supply)
The right four people for this question: a buying group, the industry data standards body, and two distributors. Expect the answer to involve product data reps can trust in front of a customer.
The Search & Discovery Maturity Framework for Manufacturers and Distributors
Richard Isaac (B2BEA)
A framework you can score yourself against on the flight home. Pair it with the panel that follows.
AI Year One: What We Tried, What Failed, and What Is Next
Denise M. Foley (EVP eCommerce, ULE Group); Rudy Abitbol (Human After All)
The only session that promises to talk about failure. A year of hands-on AI against a 60,000-SKU catalog is exactly the scale most mid-market distributors are at. Don't leave for drinks early.
Shift Happened Again
Justin King (Global Director & Chief AI Officer, B2BEA)
King's argument is that the AI shift is bigger than eCommerce was 20 years ago. Whether or not you buy it, this is the session the rest of Day 2 gets measured against.
The CEO and the CDO: Building a Digital-First Distribution Business
Mike Mortensen (President & CEO) and Mike Powers (Chief Digital & Technology Officer), ARG Industrial
Rare to hear a distributor's CEO and digital chief on the same stage. Bring your own CEO to this one if you can.
AI Practical Applications in B2B: What You Can Do Right Now
Andy Goodfellow (SVP, CTO, Zoro.com)
Zoro runs a very large online catalog, and this is its CTO on moving AI from experiment to production. The most directly reusable session of Day 2.
Agenda
As published on the official agenda on October 7, 2026. The organizer's own pages disagree on a few times: the B2B Pulse keynote is listed at 9:00 AM (overlapping the welcome), the breakfast workshop appears on Day 1 on one page and Day 2 on another, and the awards are listed as ending at 10:00 or 11:00 PM. Check the official agenda the week of the event.

Logistics
Getting there
Fly into Indianapolis International (IND), about 13–14 miles from the hotel: 20–25 minutes by taxi or rideshare. The JW Marriott is downtown at 10 S West St, connected by sky bridge to the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium, so you won't need a car once you arrive. If you drive, the hotel has self-parking from the Maryland St and Washington St entrances plus valet; rates aren't published.
Two calendar notes. Daylight saving time ends at 2:00 AM on Sunday, November 1, which is arrival day (Indianapolis is on Eastern Time). And Tuesday, November 3 is US Election Day, so plan to vote early or absentee.
Where to stay
There is no conference room block. The organizer says to book directly with the JW Marriott, which is part of Marriott's five-hotel IndyPlace complex (2,284 rooms between them, all connected). Accepted VIP hosted delegates get three nights included, checking in November 1 and out November 4. Downtown hotels fill up when the convention center is busy, so book early.
Tickets and the free VIP pass
Manufacturer and distributor delegates pay $1,295. Senior practitioners who own or influence eCommerce, digital, technology or CX can apply for the VIP Hosted Practitioner Program: a $0 ticket plus three hotel nights, in exchange for attending the full conference and taking up to eight pre-scheduled 10-minute meetings with sponsors (only where there's mutual interest). On October 7 the organizer listed fewer than five VIP places left. Vendor passes are $3,995 without meetings; the $4,995 meetings tier is sold out. No public discount codes or group rates are posted.
Evening events
Sunday 5:00 PM: welcome reception. Sunday 7:00 PM: Women in B2B eCommerce Dinner (separate registration). Monday 7:00 PM: B2BEA Professionals Party at Punch Bowl Social (bowling, arcade, karaoke). Tuesday 2:30–5:00 PM: offsite activities with limited places, from the Indianapolis 500 Museum to go-karting. Tuesday 7:00 PM: the black-tie B2B eCommerce Industry Awards at the Indiana Roof Ballroom, 140 W Washington St (entrance through the Indiana Repertory Theatre building), a short walk from the hotel.
The awards
The awards grow from 8 categories in 2025 to 17 in 2026, including Enterprise and Mid-market Manufacturer and Distributor of the Year, Best B2B Search & Discovery Experience, Best Product Content Experience, AI & Automation Excellence, and Best Emerging B2B AI Technology. Finalists weren't published as of October 7. Gala registration is separate from the conference pass.
Weather and what to wear
Early November in Indianapolis averages highs in the mid-to-high 50s °F and lows around 35–40 °F. Bring a coat for the walk to evening events. The conference itself has no published dress code (business casual is the norm at practitioner events like this); the awards gala is black-tie.
Around the venue
White River State Park is across the street, Victory Field is walkable, and Circle Centre Mall is a few minutes away. In the hotel: OP Italian, the Lobby Bar, a Starbucks and a 24-hour gym.
How to work it
Apply for the VIP hosted pass now if you qualify. Places were down to single digits on October 7.
Split your team on Monday afternoon. The Manufacturer and Distributor tracks run at the same time (2:00–3:30 PM). If you're a manufacturer that also sells through distribution, send one person to each.
Use the Exchange Meetings deliberately. You get 10 minutes per vendor. Send each one a real problem in advance (a category, a supplier file, a search query that returns nothing) so the meeting is a working session, not a pitch.
Bring your zero-result search queries. They're the most useful thing you can hand a search, PIM or product data vendor, and they make the Day 1 search sessions concrete.
Stay for the 5:00 PM AI Year One session before heading to drinks. Failure stories are rarer than success stories at conferences.
Grade one of your product pages before you go with our free AI readability tool. It gives you a concrete before-and-after to compare vendors against.
Book Tuesday afternoon activities early. Places are limited and the conference closes at 2:00 PM.
