Independent commentary · Gartner PIM Magic Quadrant 2026
Gartner named apollon a Niche Player in its 2026 Magic Quadrant for Product Information Management Solutions, published 12 October 2026, alongside Base.com, Centric Software, Equadis, insightsoftware, Pimberly and Plytix. Built for: workflow automation that reaches outside the PIM, with an EU compliance focus.
apollon is built around workflow automation that reaches beyond the PIM itself, with a focus on EU compliance. Its DPP capability comes through a partnership with Narravero. It suits buyers whose bottleneck is process and coordination across systems, particularly in Europe.
Our reading of the report, in our words.
The write-ups name no AI product for apollon. An MCP server is on its roadmap, planned for the fourth quarter of 2026.
An MCP server lets an AI agent query the PIM directly. It improves access to the record, not what the record contains: when a field is empty, the agent finds the gap faster. All 16 vendors’ MCP status.
Gartner’s definition has 17 features. We sorted every one by what it does to a product record. These are the three a apollon shortlist should weigh hardest.
Workflow automation beyond the PIM is apollon’s core strength.
Left over: A person picks up the task at the other end.
The EU compliance focus and the Narravero DPP partnership.
Left over: Someone finds the composition and safety data and fills it per SKU.
An EU-focused catalog usually means several languages and unit conventions.
Left over: Someone translates, converts units and checks the result.
Workflow automation moves the task to the right person faster. A person still picks it up at the other end and finds the value.
A DPP partnership gives passport data structure and a route out. The composition, origin and safety values per SKU still have to be sourced from supplier declarations.
None of this is particular to apollon. No feature in Gartner’s definition completes a record; every one stores, moves, routes or measures it. Whichever PIM you choose, someone still has to read the supplier documents and fill the fields.
Your PIM stores the data. Anglera does the work.
Anglera works alongside apollon. It completes each record against supplier documents, with a citation on every value, and writes the result back into apollon. Live in 30 days or less, starting from a flat file.
Gartner named apollon a Niche Player in its 2026 Magic Quadrant for Product Information Management Solutions, published 12 October 2026, alongside Base.com, Centric Software, Equadis, insightsoftware, Pimberly and Plytix. Sixteen vendors were evaluated in total. Gartner places vendors on ability to execute and completeness of vision; the quadrant says where a vendor sits in the market, not whether it fits your catalog.

Workflow automation moves the task to the right person faster. A person still picks it up at the other end and finds the value. A PIM gives each product a governed home and enforces which fields are required; finding and filling the missing values is a separate job.
No. Anglera is not a PIM and was not evaluated in the report. It works alongside apollon: it completes product records against supplier documents, with a citation on every value, and writes the result back into apollon.
