What makes components data hard
Parametric depth is the product. A capacitor family needs capacitance, tolerance, voltage rating, dielectric, package, temperature coefficient, mounting, lifecycle status and more — each typed, each with units, each range-searchable. Part numbers are dense and variant-encoding. Manufacturer part numbers encode packaging, tolerance and grade in suffixes, and the same die ships under many. Matching across suppliers and against datasheets requires understanding that structure rather than string comparison.
Lifecycle status is a purchasing criterion. Active, NRND, obsolete, last-time-buy.
